Verizon’s filing with the Federal Communications Commission on May 21 rebutting the charges leveled against the company by a group of carriers and public interest groups, as well as a recent filing by T-Mobile, were hardly the last word on the subject. On May 24, Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wisc.) sent a letter (.pdf) to Attorney General Eric Holder and FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski asking that the agencies give careful scrutiny to Verizon’s plans for the AWS spectrum it’s planning to buy from a group of cable companies including Comcast, Cox and Time-Warner.
